Not ready to write your own BrowserPlus™ scripts yet? The tools on these pages allow for easy BrowserPlus integration on your website. Just include a script, set some optional parameters and watch as your site becomes easier to use.

Installer

Build an in-page BrowserPlus installation experience by including a small javascript library and writing single line of code. The end user will be presented a step-by-step guide to install BrowserPlus.

Notifications

Provides native notifications that appear in a native desktop window or a HTML div if BrowserPlus is not installed.

Uploader

Provides file upload functionality that goes beyond the basic browser-based methods, including support for drag & drop from the desktop, mime type filtering, multiple file selection, simultaneous file uploading and real progress tracking.

The BrowserPlus™ Installer

This page is a demonstration of how to use the Yahoo! BrowserPlus™ Installer widget.

All you do is:

1 Include the base BrowserPlus library and the advanced installer JavaScript tool at the bottom of your webpage:

Choose an installation method

2a Automatically show the graphical dialog (above) when BrowserPlus is not installed (if BrowserPlus is required for the page).

2b Render an upsell link if BrowserPlus is not installed. Call BrowserPlus.init(), rendering an upsell link on error code bp.notInstalled.

Installer in Action

Automatically display a dialog when the user has to have BrowserPlus installed.
Display a display upsell link when BrowserPlus is not required, but used to enhance the site when it is installed.

Note If BrowserPlus is already installed, you won't see the installer in action. Depending on your browser/os combination, the installation dialog looks something like this:
